A DAY OF ADVENTURE!

WHAT BRAVE PUPPIES!
Started out with the weekly weigh in - and pups now range from 5.5 up to almost 7 lbs.  Then - first time having their nails done with a little dremel (grinder) rather than being cut.  They were not sure about that but adjusted well.  The dremel is a very small quiet one and totally painless...the part they hated was being held still to have it done!
Then... first car trip which was very successful.  Only one puppy threw up (one of the boys, but no idea which one). No other "accidents" and they were totally quiet on their trip.

PUMPKIN PICKIN' - PUPPY STYLE !!!!

PUPPIES SPENT THEIR FIRST AFTERNOON OUTDOORS ON THE GRASS IN A NEW PEN SET-UP --  HERE ARE SOME REALLY NEAT PIX.

Next update is Thursday - which is going to be a BIG day for us -- visitors in the morning and then - OUR FIRST CAR TRIP to the vet for microchipping.

FIVE WEEKS !!!!

AND WE REALLY ARE GROWING!  Everyone again has gained over one pound and weights now range from 4 lbs to 5.3 lbs.  Here we are playing "show dog"......

Next update will be on Sunday after SIX sets of visitors planned for the weekend! Lotsa socialization for the babies. 
Here is an interesting bit of information for everyone and we try to follow this to the greatest extent possible:

The rule of 7’s

By age of 7 weeks, puppies should have

-          been on 7 different types of footing (floors, grass, etc)
-          played with 7 different objects
-          been in 7 different locations
-          met at least 7 new people
-          conquered 7 different challenges
-          eaten from 7 different containers
-          had 7 different locations to eat in
-          been exposed to 7 different types of sounds
